Vidyalaya came into existence in the year 1983 to cater the educational needs as well as the holistic development of children. A co-educational school with unity in diversity, it is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The building provides all basic amenities. A healthy child centered education and activity-oriented approach in the teaching learning process facilitates the experimentation and innovation of children.

Jhagrakhand is a hill station in Chhattisgarh. Coal mines are prevalent in this area but still the place is pollution free. The climate is pleasant. The place is surrounded by lush greenery around here. This is a two section single shift school that offers education to children from class I to class XII with science and commerce stream.
